What are you impressions/opinions about this realm?
To be honest, i am fairly disappointed, i think its just a regular realm, nothing special. I am browsing the bug report forums, same bugs/mistakes as on other realms. Even things in promotional videos dont work, which is really sad.
Dungeons are terrible, mobs are bugged, lagged, teleporting, not losing properly, disappearing, graphic glitching, not to mention they are being pulled through walls/floors.
After so many months on beta, i was expecting more. A much more.

I do agree with you to some extent. Things could have been better, but I am more pleasantly surprised at times rather than disappointed.
Bugs appear to the eye just with the sheer number of players doing the same things over and over. Faults are seen and if reported, they will get fixed in due time.

I hold great expectations for the future. The simple fact that donations are not available this early on, points towards that the staff are more mature and passionate than ever before. Sadly their focus and effort is not where it aught to be at the moment.

I couldn't agree more.. Quality gaming? The only thing special about this server is lack of donations, which is for me huge + and currently the only reason why I am willing to wait.

While I must admit I'm disappointed at some bugs on the server, I have great expectations for it, because the devs are very talented. They don't have the time to test out everything, and even the lengthy beta has proved to be insufficient for the amount of bugs Mangos Zero has. But with the new bug reports from the massive community, and as soon as the DDoS problem is solved, I'm sure we'll have the best vanilla experience we can get.

It's as good as it gets for now honestly.

The server met my expectations on everything except for the up-time, sadly, i haven't been able to log on in the past 2, possibly 3 days which is getting kinda annoying.

It's that good the other servers backing up this Ddos attack i guess,

well.. i dont know what to think. The server went out obviously unprepared, as it has the same (and sadly, even more) bugs, than scriptcraft had upon release. Many of them are game breaking. As i said, i was expecting much more.

We ll se how the situation develops. I wasnt able to play for the last 2-3 days aswell.

i cant imagine a legal way how to obtain around 1000g in two days, but ok. People are so cheating here.

They fix things very quickly and efficiently. The bug tracker was closed to the public for a long time (and now it's been cleaned) but they always find a way to work around the limitations of our current emulator.

Check the Universal Updates thread on the q-gaming forums if you still doubt them.

If you are having doubts about the server, there is at least one thing I can tell you that this server has which no other server really does to the same extent, and that thing is the genuine willingness of the developers to improve the server so that it works as smoothly as is possible for them to achieve.

It is true that there are bugs which cannot really be overlooked. But whereas a realm with less bugs would be ideal, I find it more preferable to know that there is a desire to run a good server, and that as long as we keep playing and believe that they will improve the way things are, that will eventually happen. This, I think, is the main difference between Q-Gaming and other realms; the server is not called Quality Gaming because it necessarily hosts quality from the very beginning, but because it strives to achieve quality in a way that other realms do not. That is to myself the most important thing.

What matters is ultimately nothing but the will to do good, so even if they have been unable to adequately fix in-game bugs, do not for a moment suggest that things are so because of laziness. This server has already faced much adversity, more so than other realms, so it is only natural that the developers have been forced to occupy themselves with less relevant things.

I will wait and prepare myself in the meanwhile.

I left SC after one month of playing, cause it was just copied feenix with same bugs. This is just copied SC with the same bugs.

Other major thing, which is not developers fault, is the community. If i can even call it the community. Bunch of fuckers fits more.
I hate people like Grizzly, who just abuse and hack everything. I came here to enjoy vanilla game and they just ruined it for everybody. They already destroyed one other server, now they killed this one aswell. Also, other people speed hacking, flying, abusing, pulling through textures etc just ruins the feeling for me. Enslaving demons and abusing it, buying an epic mount in 1 day at 60 (yea, sure), abusing pvp bugs.. what the fuck is wrong with those people. I wanted to play in a normal way, but that apparently aint possible on a private realm.

I dont understand, why they didnt invite more people to the beta testing. I would gladly come (even applied) and test things. They should have postponed the release, as its very poor right now. Another 6 months on beta with more people there would be great.

My rating is now 3/10, even worse than feenix. I know that many of you know the GMs, but lets face the truth, this has been a big fail so far.

The only thing we inherited from the other private realms was the community. Bugs are subject to everybody using the same core, so there is no genuine 'copying' going on there at all really.

It is too bad that you perceive the entire project as a big failure this far, but it really is not quite clear for what reason you think that it has been a failure. The reason why you are frustrated, as well as the reason why bug abuse is so prominent, is not because the server itself is bad but because it did not appropriately anticipate the immaturity and intentions of its new player base. The previous Q Gaming community was nothing like the cancer that is currently inhibiting the forums, so it is not at all strange that Santa (nor did ANYBODY else during the entire year of pre-launch preparations) did not care to look into purchasing DdoS protection and developing 'Anti-Cheat' systems. The point was always to bring back vanilla so that everybody could have fun, just like the old Q-Gaming. It is evident that things have changed dramatically since then.

My question to you would therefore be, given that there is such a big quantity of players that systematically pursue to exploit bugs on the server rather than to play on it as intended, do you really think that it is justified to classify the server as a failure? They have not been lazy, but the problem rather seems to lie with the fact that they have emphasized things that have absolutely nothing to do with accounting for the massive faggotry of the current private server scene.

I personally think that they have their priorities exactly right.

As I said above, i fully understand, that the community is bad and people are behaving like idiots. Thats the fact, and i dont really like it. It demotivates me even more. Is there some proper solution for this ? Like ban whole grizzly guild and all the hackers? I think its not that easy and wont be effective. I dont really know what to do now..

What I'm telling you is that the primary reason why the server appears to be shit is because such a vast amount of players seek to exploit it, paying no attention to the reasons why the rest of us want to play here. This is not something that the developers can do anything about, because if the intentions of the players are bad the server will never really work at all.

Still, I believe that the novelty of this recently launched server will die out soon, because the idiots can only stay focused and motivated for so long. They will lose interest sooner or later, and by that time we will hopefully be able to play properly.

We should never have wished for this server to become mainstream. Not when the current WoW-players are as they are.
